About the Workshop
What:
The WICKED Choral Workshop is a 2-hour event geared towards high school and middle school show choirs, musical theatre students, and choruses that will explore the music of the Broadway show WICKED. Students will have the opportunity to interact with professional actors and other students from across the country as they work on a song from the show.
Once your group registers, you will be sent a choral arrangement of a song from the show to prepare. Our team will work with the group on presentation, nuance and movement at the workshop itself, but we ask that your group do some preliminary work learning parts, lyrics, etc. in advance of the event.
After a lunch break, the group will gather at the Gershwin Theatre to see a performance of the show.
Where:
The workshop will be held at New World Stages located at 340 West 50th Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues). The performance of WICKED will be at the Gershwin Theatre located at 222 West 51st Street.
